Securing work of the Former Agricultural Research Lab.

The securing work has been done with an attention to the need to complete the surveys and the cleanup hazardous substances relevant to public health. We operated on the exterior basements, which hadn’t been demolished yet, and on the remaining part of the building that will be subject to restoration.

On the first phase, we provided for the securing of the structural elements on the outer perimeter of the building’s site. The work, then, concerned the wooden shoring along the building’s front by using strengthening with steel wires fitted with tessellated metal plates to be connected to the existing wall elements.

On the second phase, then, we built the internal shoring of the wooden scaffold decks for the cellars and the covering.

This provisional securing work will be maintained until the beginning of the restoration work of the entire building.
