This historic building, which is now the location for the public library in Palmanova, was build, presumably, between the end of the 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s and was initially used as accommodation for superior military officers.

The work regarded the completion of the first floor, which remained unfinished after the previous restorations, from the construction of technical installations (electrical, heat and air conditioning systems) to all the related finishing works, plasters, plasterboard counter-walls, interior doors and windows, new floorings and functional adjustments.

The task also included the requalification of the building’s garden, which has been properly adapted to allow cultural manifestations in the open, such as conferences, book presentations, outdoor cinema etc.
